Yes, that picture is the junk actually coming out that minute like that not running out like a blood vessel breaking - it was thick, bloody,  junky and full of blasto. This is the material that was causing her ankle to be so swollen and painful. She did well after this ruptured although it looked horrible and took a while to heal especially when she kept getting at itwith her tongue (the bandage and the sock over the bandage). You can see above it the area that ruptured prior to this, which happened in my car taking her home from the medical intuitive before I realized that this stuff would come out. She did have a bullae on the tip of her toe and alongside both sides of her toe - that made me think she was having bubonic plague - until I read about the bullae of blasto and that when it pops all this comes out.

I'll get the pictures to you and am working on possibly being there on the 31st. Dogs are invited, right? I couldn't see how much it cost to attend but maybe they don't have that part of the site up yet.
Francie's mom
(Don't tell Francie but she's getting a bed for Christmas - no more doggie sleeping bags unless she wants to but of course she can still sleep on my bed!)

Hi - I thought everyone had the bloody junky discharge that came out.   Definitely pictures can help - and even for the Vets.
I just sent you a long document with pictures (it will take a while), let me know if you need it another way i.e. real photos, or sent on a CD. I am fine with paying to get in (especially if there are more of us than tickets) and seeing you all there. I will most likely bring Francie - Judy
PS there are a few I think I'll add here - at a time soon, didn't realize I had more

Yes , Wally had it on his lips...on his lower lip and then right above on the upper lip.  They actually are healing up well, you can hardly see them on his lips.

the dogs draw soooo much attention!!!

Oh how I wish Wally and I could be there as well for the pet expo as Milwaukee is not that far from where we live, but I will be out of town that weekend.  If there is another event like this, please let me know.  Wally and I will make every effort to attend.

I will be at the Expo for sure. I think I may leave Jigga at home. He gets over stimulated and can act like a jerk. He's the most loveable teddy bear but put him in a loud enviroment with strangers and other dogs and he can get a little aggressive. I think he gets nervous and feels the need to dominate. He has that male rottweiler temperment sometimes. He is great at the dog park but when he gets over stimulated it's time to go home. But I am sooo looking forward to going to the expo!! I think it is a great idea!!

That was funny! Homer talks to us all the time. We need to video tape him one day because we just die laughing! I will see you wonderful people at the expo. We are going to bring Marge so you can all meet her stubborn butt! I sure wish Jigga could come but I TOTALLY understand what you mean about him- that's why Homer is staying home!  ;D

Bumping this up - I'll be at Expo with Francie - let me know what I need to do to be with the booth... if any of you have pictures, this can be helpful for the others - blasto presents in many different ways....  and can be of encouragement that things do get better!

Bumping this up, if your dog currently has blasto - please take pictures - wait if you want  to send bec you have much more to do- you may be glad you had pictures - I know I was glad I took pictures, but couldn't look at them for months after Francie was out of the woods.

For those of you have pictures and you are passed the stressful watching and taking care months, the pictures would be very helpful for new visitors to the site who have questions about lesions, joint swelling, hair loss etc (I know I am visual and am reassured by pictures that help me understand), the pet fair, and also we are keeping them for use with Vets - so few have seen blasto this is also a great teaching tool for them - potentially save other dogs from a very slow diagnosis and prognosis.

THANKS EVERYONE.. you can send them to wilson3ausie@sbcglobal.net - I believe Wilson's mom has her address somewhere  on this site since that may be easier for you and her..  Francie's mom

Bumping it up for the article. I put together a whole photo book of the lesions and Francie healed - you are welcome to them, I just put two pictures here but there are much more. Judy
