Hello to everyone -
I have been a bit lax in checking up, and once again it's sad to see new faces, but good to see all of the support that's offered here. And so sorry to read about Charlie.
It's spring, and of course it's a prime season for new cases. My friend's youngest dog has just been diagnosed, but is doing very well on a liquid itraconazole compound from Pet Health. She is a vet tech, and their clinic (here in Indiana) has seen quite a few cases already this year.
The bothersome part is that this is their *inside* dog; none of the outside dogs are infected. Not that she definitely got it from indoors, but the chances are pretty good, as we've see in some other cases here on the board.
Hope everyone is hanging in and doing well, and know that I'm always thinking of the brave people and pets here, even though it's a little hard to keep up right now.
Dirtbike is still going strong, and this is the 3rd spring since her treatment ended. There have been no other cases here in the valley since '07.
Kristin - you're an angel, always fighting the good fight!
Wishing everyone the best-
jen
