Those suppurating sores are a bit of a conundrum. Yeah, we want them to heal, but it's in part a reaction of the body trying to flush out those invading blasto yeasts. So I think the solution is to help nature take it's path. When my dog had those weeping sores on his paw, my vet recommended that I soak it in warm, soapy iodine water. The warm and the soap to help drain what the body is trying to get rid of. The Iodine, and the soap I suppose, are to keep it clean and ward off opportunistic infections that might try and work their way in.
I'd say, keep it loosely bandaged, change the bandage regularly, and let nature take it's course. If your dog has that clear fluid running from those wounds, that's the body's way of flushing it out. That fluid is packed with white blood cells and probably flushed out yeast cells. Personally, I'd stay away from goopy salves or something that might restrict the flow. Letting that stuff out should reduce the swelling. Or more correctly, that is the swelling. Nature is flooding the infected area with it's own defenses.
